Video Valuations...How it works!

Hate the thought of a "Salesy" estate agent coming to your house and being stuck with them for an hour? Welcome to the world of Virtual Video Valuations! Read on to find out why its very much the same as a home visit.

The pandemic has certainly transformed the way many businesses work and has fast fowarded the use of the video call probably by 5-10 years! The big question is how on earth is someone supposed to value your house via zoom or a whats app call? Well, it's easier than you think! As long as you have a smart phone its really easy to do.

Step 1: When the appointment is made you'll be asked what method of video call you prefer. If you haven't got a clue then fear not! Our preferred method is via zoom. All you need to do is go to the app store on your phone and download the zoom app prior to the meeting. We'll arrange a convenient date and time then send you a zoom meeting link via email.

Step 2: On the date and time arranged take out your phone and go to the email with the zoom link and click the link. I will then allow you into the meeting when you connect. Make sure you are connected to the wi-fi to allow a good connection.

Step 3: We'll have a chat about your story and why you're looking to move. Then I'll ask you flip the phone around and guide me through the house telling me all about any modifications or improvements. If i need a closer look at something I'll ask you to go closer or zoom in.

Step 4: After you've finished showing me the property it's time to make yourselves comfortable and flip the phone back around. Together we'll determine a valuation that will give you the best chance of achieving the best possible price for your home. I will have already done some thorough research prior to our meeting so will have a fair idea - the video will just confirm the condition of the property to enable me to give you a more accurate valuation. I'll go through our marketing strategy and discuss our fees. After the meeting I'll send you a full marketing report where i'll confirm everything I've discussed with you. It's then up to you to decide whether what we do fits in with you!

I look forward to seeing you!

Best Regards

PM Keir Starmer has already issued a warning that next week’s Budget will be painful… to help fill a ‘£22 billion black hole’ of debt. So, could this Budget be painful for homeowners? In this article, we’ll take a look at what Chancellor Rachel Reeves might be planning.

Despite greater awareness and tougher legislative measures, mould can still be a significant issue for landlords and tenants. A new survey has found that 43% of tenants have experienced problems with mould and damp in their rental*.
